Vicenza: good news for enogastronomic tourism
In Vicenza (Veneto-Italy) a fantastic new idea has come to life; tours that unite the beautiful artistic creations of Palladio and other famous artists and architects such as Muttoni, Marinali, Pizzocaro, Scamozzi and Sanmicheli together with the most incredible culinary traditions, that are all but unknown to the outside world including: wine, meat, oil, rice, honey,” baccalà alla vicentina” (although not a typical local produce it is cooked using a centuries old local recipe), cold meats and Asiago cheese (both D.O.P.) in an environment rich in unusual places and landscapes.

Who better to welcome visitors than the owners of the villas with their stories & kindness.
The goal of the tours is to promote typical local produce (to be discovered, enjoyed & sold) and the local area (there will be walking trails, bicycle trips around the Vicenza countryside, visits to exhibitions, guided tours, etc.). The tours will also include visits to historic villas owned by local farming families, with the intention of joining history, culture and important historic buildings.

Organised tours will last a day, a week end or up to a whole week with the added opportunity to stay in local farm guest houses.
The tours are based around local historic villas and en route there will be restaurants, places to stay and places to buy local produce. Etc.
Subscribe to the newsletter, you receive a monthly informaton dedicated to typical local produce, places to visit and places to stay.
